An array of spices and 100 pounds of local Cinderella Pumpkins (Blueberry Bay Farms- Stratham N.H) pave the way for this quintessential seasonal ale. Dating back to colonial times when brewers were still dependent on Europe for many supplies, especially malt, in times of need they learned to extend their meager supplies by using starchy vegetables such as pumpkins, squash, and potatoes.
