Traditionally brewed and conditioned cold during the winter months, Bock style beers were often considered to be a celebratory beer for the coming of Spring as well as serving as the “liquid bread” for the monks who brewed and consumed them while they fasted during lent. Our German Rye Bock, Roggenator is brewed in this same tradition. A rich and malty bock style lager beer with flavor notes of caramel, toast, raisin, and spice. Floral and earthy notes from the use of German Hersbrucker hops round out this seasonal offering. Prost!
