A twist on the traditional, German-style of dunkelwiezen, this beer has the addition of malted rye to enhance the clove spice that is naturally produced by the German hefewiezen yeast strain. As your palate just gets used to the spice flavor, the crystal malt sweetness is enhanced with the body that only flaked rye can give.  This brew leaves you with the flavor a corner piece of banana bread can only give.  It’s good on its own, but better to experience with food.
