This gruit is based off a Wheat Saison malt profile with all local ingredients picked straight from the historic gardens at Strawbery Banke Museum.  The flowers used in this beer are Passion flower, Lavender, Bergomont, Marjaroam flower, Hyssop Flower and Mugwort flower.  There is a hop vine that has been growing at Strawbery Banke for many years, so we used the hop “flowers” from that in our hop back. Most saisons have a spice addition to them, but we added fresh rosehips as well as some ground coriander.  This beer consists of lots of fun flavors that come from what was in bloom right at the end of the summer.
